Welcome to eSkill 2025 Wrapped!

We see you, Spotify Wrapped. YouTube Recap. NYT Year in Games. Chick-fil-A “2025 in a Nugget.” (We know we’re just scratching the surface of “wrapped-style” year-end recaps here.)

And we’re jumping on the trend.

Like any good year-end recap, this one’s built on a large mountain of data. Because data tells stories. And this year, ours had a lot to say.

Let’s start with the big one.

Over one million tests taken

Yes, that’s correct. Over one million. A full seven-digit milestone.

That’s over a million candidates who were given the chance to prove their skills — and more than a million moments when employers could confidently assess whether applicants knew their stuff or not.

From hard skills to behavioral, cognitive, and aptitude tests, across questions types like multiple-choice, true-false, situational judgment, and even in-depth simulations, job-seekers were more than put to the test this year.

Over 75,000 different questions asked

And that’s across 13,000 different topics & 4,000 different subjects!

While the eSkill platform houses more than 600 unique subjects, things really get interesting once clients start customizing. Each assessment breaks down into subjects, those subjects break down into topics, and suddenly the combinations multiply fast.

Every time a client builds a new test, that’s a new subject. New subjects mean new topics. And before you know it, you’ve got tens of thousands of unique questions measuring candidates across virtually every skill required to perform on the job.

This year, clients leaned all the way in — mixing, matching, fine-tuning, and building tests that actually reflected the job at hand.

Over 75,000 one-way interviews completed

eSkill may be best known for testing, but assessments are just one piece of the hiring pie.  Sure — you want to know skills and behavior, but you also want to hear how someone explains themselves. How they think out loud. How they communicate.

That’s why we have quick, focused, one-way interviews that integrate right into assessments. Candidates hit record, answer the prompt, and move on — allowing for structured interviews across every candidate. And with team grading that can be completed asynchronously, your whole hiring team can assess the interview on their own time. No scheduling gymnastics required.

Over 12,000 proctored sessions

Proctoring had a moment this year — and for good reason.

As AI tools get more sophisticated and cheating gets more creative, organizations are paying closer attention to test integrity. Proctoring adds that extra layer of confidence: yes, the right person took the test, and yes, they did it fairly.

Roughly one in every 100 tests was proctored in 2025. It’s not the norm for everyone — but for high-stakes roles and critical decisions, it’s becoming an increasingly popular safeguard. Keep an eye on this number — we’re expecting it to increase dramatically in 2026 as we beef up our tools (and proctoring becomes an absolute must across industries).

Top tests of 2025

And now, the crowd favorites.

Logical Thinking

Our Logical Thinking test continues to be a standout — and it makes sense. It measures aptitude, not background. Instead of asking what someone knows, it focuses on how they think.

Series completion. Analogies. Anagrams. Deductive logic. It’s the top-level stuff that can determine whether someone has the basic competence to learn on-the-job, and enjoy it, too.

Attention to Detail Simulation

Our simulations are among our most popular tests — and for good reason.

On the job, small details can make the biggest differences. That’s why our Attention to Detail simulation mirrors real-world tasks and rewards careful thinking. It’s not your standard fill-in-the-bubble test. It’s a representation of actual-on-the-job tasks, with multiple pathways to a successful answer under a realistic time constraint. Simulations have shown to be some of the best predictors of on the job success.

Voice and Video Assessments

Voice and video assessments are catching on. One-way interviews and audio-only responses (for our camera-shy friends) are being implemented into more and more tests to get a well-rounded view of candidates — without having to slog through scheduling hiccups or over-burden recruiters already spread thin (we see you!).

Even for language tests, eSkill allows questions that are asked via audio/video and audio/video responses from the candidate — taking language translation and aptitude measurement to the next level.

Level 1 Support for Over 10,000 Test Takers

One of our proudest numbers isn’t about tests at all — it’s about people.

Internet hiccups. Browser issues. Accidental exits. Last-minute panic. Test taking can be stressful, and when something goes wrong, candidates need help now, not later. And we don’t leave it up to our customers to be responsible for their test-takers.

We’re fanatical about a great test-taker experience. So we provide the support ourselves. This year, our support team handled more than 10,000 test taker support tickets — stepping in so organizations didn’t have to, and making sure candidates could focus on the test instead of the tech.

Every ticket closed was one less headache for a hiring team — and one more candidate who got a fair shot. And honestly? We were happy to help.

Here’s to the data, the hiring teams behind it, the test takers who gave their valuable time for a fair assessment, and everything we’re building next.

See you in 2026!
